“As someone born in Africa, raised in Canada, and now living in the U.S., I have seen and experienced just how varied Black identity can be — we are far from being a monolith,” says Maka Ngwenya, MBA ’22. “And yet, we share a relentless spirit that allows us to not just survive no matter where we are, but more importantly to thrive.”
Ngwenya is a member of Stanford GSB Black Business Student Association. For Black History Month, she and other students reflected on the question, “What does Black History Month mean to you?”
