Counseling

Linda Wells, CES Executive Director, and Lisa Sweeney,CES Associate Director, are available to advise GSB students and alumni in entrepreneurial aspirations or interests in early stage companies and venture capital. In the late winter and early spring of each year we are actively working with our entrepreneurial and venture capital community network to identify opportunities at early stage companies for summer internships and post-MBA experience.

Unfortunately, we are not able to extend these services to the community at large.

Advisory Sessions for Entrepreneurs

The Center for Entrepreneurial Studies offers a program to allow GSB students to get personal advice from experienced entrepreneurs, venture capitalists,CEOs and attorneys. Advisory Sessions are an opportunity for you to meet in a confidential setting one-on-one, to seek feedback on a business idea, career plans or other professional advice.

Meetings are held in the CES and slots are allocated by application. If you are interested in meeting with one of these advisors, you must submit your application and resume by the deadline given below. You will hear back one week before the Advisory date if you have been allocated a time slot. These sessions are very popular so there is no guarantee we will be able to fit you in.

Please submit a different application for each person you wish to meet with, giving the reason you feel that individual could be of particular help to you. (You need only email your resume once!) If sessions are oversubscribed, we will give preference to students who have not yet received advice.

These sessions are open to GSB students, S356 & SIE Team Members (including non GSB) and GSB alumni only.
PLEASE NOTE: MBA 1s are eligible to apply for sessions which occur after the end of EAP ( October 28th).

Stanford Entrepreneurship Network offers a very similar program: Coaches on Call.
Check out their program for additional advice sessions, open to Stanford students.
