GMIX & Careers
International Career Resources
In the Global Management Program (GMP) we are dedicated to developing world class global managers and encourage students to explore career opportunities worldwide. Each year, graduates accept full-time positions in many different cities and countries around the world. In the Class of 2008, 21% of students chose careers outside of the United States.
Students interested in international career opportunities are supported through the Global Management Program through a number of career-related, social, and cultural events throughout the year. In the past, events have included panels comprised of distinguished guests, lectures by visiting professors and Nobel Laureates, and small group discussions with executive speakers and alumni. Click here for more information on these events.
International Immersion Experiences
We further encourage students to work internationally through our flagship summer immersion program, Global Management Immersion Experience (GMIX). The objectives of this program are to provide students with an opportunity to explore business and society in a country that is new to them, as well as to enhance the School community and classrooms with the insights gained from their professional and cultural experiences abroad. Click here for more information on GMIX.
International Loan Forgiveness Program
Each year, we encourage students to pursue global careers by offering an International Loan Forgiveness Program. The program provides financial assistance to non-US citizens working in developing countries by paying a portion of their Stanford loans.
For more information, see the School’s official page on the International Loan Forgiveness Program in the Financial Aid website.
