Mayree C. Clark, MBA '81
Mayree Clark is a professional investor and capital markets specialist.
She is a senior advisor to Aetos Capital Asia, which manages $6 billion of private real
estate holdings, and a member of its investment committee. She serves on the board of the
Stanford Management Company, which is responsible for the university’s endowment. In
2009 she joined the reconstituted board of Ally Financial Services (formerly known as
GMAC) following its restructuring by the U.S. Treasury. She chairs Ally’s risk management
and compliance committee and is a member of its audit committee.
Ms. Clark was with Morgan Stanley from 1981 to 2005, working in a variety of areas,
including investment banking, equities, fixed income, and individual investor services, and
holding positions with increasing leadership responsibility, including deputy to the
chairman, CEO
, and management committee; global research director; global head of
private wealth management; and chairman of MSCI-Barra. From 2005 to 2008 she was a
partner and member of the executive committee of AEA Holdings, which represented the
joint interests of Aetos Capital and AEA Inc., one of the oldest private-equity firms in the
United States.
Ms. Clark is active in a variety of community activities and philanthropic ventures. She
serves as CEO of the Silverleaf Foundation, which contributes to causes related to
education, women’s issues, health, and local charitable organizations in New York and
Connecticut. She is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations, Circle Financial Group,
and Women Moving Millions. She also co-chairs the leadership gifts committee for
Collegiate School.
She grew up in Oklahoma and currently resides with her husband, Jeffrey Williams, and
their two sons in New York City.
