Enrico T. Cucchiani

Enrico Cucchiani is directly responsible for several group companies based in Europe with
total turnover in excess of $30 billion and net profit of approximately $2.3 billion. He is
also responsible for the worldwide restructuring program of the P&C business (turnover in
excess of $55 billion and net profit above $6 billion) and of insurance retail distribution.

Dr. Cucchiani chairs or serves on the boards of several Allianz companies; of Unicredit,
Pirelli, and other companies. He is chairman of the MIB School of Management in Trieste
and lifetime director of Javotte Bocconi, the Bocconi University Foundation. He is a member
of the Trilateral Commission, the Council for the United States and Italy, the Aspen Institute,
and ISPI (Institute for Political Studies).

He is Cavaliere del Lavoro (highest honorary title awarded by the president of Italy) and
the recipient of the 2006 Businessman of the Year award of Bocconi University.
Dr. Cucchiani holds a doctorate in economics from Bocconi University and an MBA from
the Stanford Graduate School of Business; he also has carried out research at Harvard
Business School.

He joined Lloyd Adriatico, a company of Allianz, in 1996, as general manager and became
CEO in 1998. Prior to joining Lloyd Adriatico, he set up a venture capital firm; managed a
luxury goods group; worked with McKinsey & Company in Italy, London, and New York;
and also worked with a major international bank in the United States.

Dr. Cucchiani is married to Petra, and they both enjoy their flat-coated retrievers, Muffin
and Pumpkin.
