Jerker Johansson is a founding partner of Blue Water Energy, a London based, mid-market energy private equity fund.

Prior to founding Blue Water Energy, Mr. Johansson spent 25 years as an investment banking executive.  From March 2008 to April 2009, he was chairman and CEO of the UBS Investment Bank.  Prior to that he spent 23 years with Morgan Stanley in New York and London.  From 2005 he was global head of Morgan Stanley’s institutional equity division and a member of the firm’s management committee. He joined Morgan Stanley in 1985 and prior to taking on responsibility for the global equity business, he spent his career in the equity capital markets and equity sales and trading area. Before Morgan Stanley he worked at Bankers Trust, Chase Manhattan Bank and the Swedish investment company, Investor AB.

Mr. Johansson holds a master’s degree from the Stockholm School of Economics and an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business. He is a member of the board of directors of Stena International and Stena Real Estate, both part of the Stena Group, one of Sweden’s largest family-owned corporate groups. He is also a trustee of the Tower Hamlet Educational Business partnerships.

He resides in London and is a Swedish citizen.
