Rick Justice is executive vice president and senior advisor to Cisco Chairman and CEO
John Chambers. He assumed this part-time role upon his retirement from Cisco in May
2009. Mr. Justice devotes the majority of his time to executive leadership development
and mentoring.
Mr. Justice joined Cisco in 1996 as senior vice president of the Americas. In January 2000,
his responsibilities expanded to worldwide field operations, reporting directly to
Mr. Chambers. He was named executive vice president of worldwide operations and
business development in 2007.
Before joining Cisco, Mr. Justice spent 22 years with Hewlett-Packard. His HP career
included a number of sales and marketing leadership roles, a three-year assignment in
Hong Kong leading HP’s Asia Pacific operations, and his last role as leader of worldwide
enterprise sales.
Mr. Justice received a BS in mechanical engineering from Santa Clara University and an
MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business. He is a member of the Santa Clara
University Board of Regents.
Mr. Justice and his wife, Debi, live in Saratoga, California, and have three grown children:
Dave and Nicole work in the high-tech industry and Greg willl graduate from Stanford in
June 2011.
