John A. Manzoni

President and CEO
Talisman Energy, Inc.

John Manzoni became president and CEO of Talisman Energy, Inc. of Canada in September 2007.

Previously, Mr. Manzoni was group managing director, chief executive, refining and marketing for BP plc in England. He joined BP in 1983 and spent the early part of his career working in the North Sea area. He has worked in a variety of roles including head of investor relations, head of strategy, and vice president, Prudhoe Bay in Alaska. More recently, he was the executive from BP responsible for the merger integration process between BP and Amoco, and then became group vice president in charge of downstream European marketing, in addition to downstream planning and performance globally. In 2000, he was appointed regional president for the eastern United States and in 2001, as executive vice president and the chief executive for gas, power and renewables, the post he held until his current appointment in 2002. He was appointed to the board of BP plc in 2003.

Mr. Manzoni graduated from Imperial College, London, in 1983 with an honors degree in civil engineering and a MS in petroleum engineering. In 1994, he was a Sloan Fellow at Stanford Graduate School of Business, where he earned a MS in business management.

Mr. Manzoni is a member of the Accenture Energy Advisory Board and a nonexecutive director of the board of SAB Miller.

Mr. Manzoni is married to Nikki, with two children.
