William C. Powers

Bill Powers is a fixed income portfolio manager and managing director at PIMCO, as well as being a member of its investment and executive committees. He oversees PIMCO’s global portfolio operations in Tokyo, Singapore, Sydney, London and Munich.
A graduate of St. Albans School in Washington D.C., Mr. Powers served on the school’s board of governors; and at Princeton, he was a two-year letterman, was chosen to the All Ivyleague teamand recently made the naming gift for its new football field. He generously supportsandis a board member of the L.A. Philharmonic, Jazz Aspen Snowmass, Sonoma Jazz +, The Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, and the Painted Turtle camp for special-needs children.
Mr. Powers and his wife, Carolyn, funded and initiated The Blues and Jazz-Two American Classics, a program to preserve, raise awareness for and teach students America's classical music, jazz and blues, through the Thelonious Monk Institute of Jazz. They have five children and reside in Manhattan Beach, Aspen and Cabo.
