Bill Younger is a managing director of Sutter Hill Ventures, which he joined in 1981. Sutter
Hill is a Palo Alto-based venture capital firm founded in 1962. He has been an active,
early-stage investor in software, biotechnology, medical, and telecommunications products.
Mr. Younger graduated with a BSEE from the University of Michigan in 1972 and an
MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business in 1975. He joined Cummins Engine
Company and worked there until 1981.
Mr. Younger has been president of the Western Association of Venture Capitalists and chair
of the venture capital committee of the Stanford Graduate School of Business Trust. He
is on the boards of Stanford Hospital and Clinics, the Gladstone Institutes, and the Young
Life National Capernaum Ministries.
