Dear GSB Alumni,
A few months ago, Stanford GSB students were poised to graduate into one of the strongest job markets in history. Today, they are facing an uncertain employment landscape and a global economy reeling from the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic.
I am writing to ask for your help. With the support and dynamism of the GSB alumni community, we would like to create 150 summer and full-time opportunities for our students. We have a special need for summer internship opportunities, because these are especially scarce, and the timing is urgent.
Here are some ways you can help:
- Engage a student on a strategic project or hire them for a summer internship. Our Career Management Center (CMC) can help you shape the project or scope of the internship.
- Let us know if you have a full-time opportunity available in your organization. The CMC will post it to our student and alumni job board.
Please know that we have programs in place that help to subsidize social and public sector internships, as well as internships at smaller entrepreneurial ventures.
I know that many of you have navigated past downturns, and hopefully benefitted from the support of your GSB classmates and fellow alumni. I hope that despite the daunting challenges each of us is confronting today, you might be able to help our current generation of GSB students — and in doing so, benefit from their talent, creativity, and resilience.
Thank you for your consideration and your ongoing support of the school.
