Delivering a Marketable VC Pitch: Audience Q&A, 27:09 minutes

February 21, 2004
David Ladd of Mayfield Ventures covers the A to Z's of how venture capitalists think about a new venture and what you as an entrepreneur need to consider in making that first pitch. David's key message is that above all else you should make sure to focus on your team, target market and product, in that order. Skip the sermons on market sizing and the soliloquies on your lengthy CV. Instead, make sure you arrive on time, and that every team member contributes to the meeting. These and other useful do's and don'ts make this discussion an hour and twenty minutes very well spent before you get psyched up for your first pitch.
