Research
The ethics literature is as large as it is old. Trying to categorize or organize it all in this space is impossible. The section below, however, lists a few general resources that you can look at for a sense of how experts have organized the intellectual currents. It also contains instructions on how to find articles from some of the relevant academic journals. At the end, you will find links to articles and monographs in a few areas that give some flavor for a few of the things out there.
Where do I start my search?
A starting place for all journal-based research queries is the set of electronic databases available online from Jackson Library. Here, you will find links to articles in at least two of the major business ethics-related journals: Journal of Business Ethics (Kluwer Academic Publishers) and Business Ethics (Mavis Publications). You can also check out the Electronic Journal of Business Ethics (BON).
You can get a fantastic survey of ethics-related topics by perusing the Blackwell Companions to Philosophy series. The signal volume is Peter Singer's Companion to Ethics, but there are volumes on more specific topics, including business ethics and value ethics. Green Library has a complete set. The books do not circulate but are easy to find, behind the reference/information desk on the first floor, near the entrance by the fountain. Call numbers look something like this: B72 .B565 1991 V.2.
