Bringing Leaders into the Classroom

Leadership in Focus is a video collection of leaders talking about significant challenges they have faced, decisions they have made, and lessons they have learned from the experiences.

We interviewed more than 100 senior-level and mid-level managers about their toughest leadership challenges. The videos were then edited to create vignettes that capture these challenges in a way that can spark dynamic debates in the classroom.

The videos were developed to help educators whose students will serve in managerial and leadership positions. Video cases help to capture the subtleties and emotional challenges of leadership by provoking the discussion and reflection needed for learning about one's own leadership style. Students will be challenged to assess the issues raised in real time, form their own judgment, then make a case for how they would resolve the issue.

Because the challenges describe real situations, these videos can add a dynamic and interactive dimension to discussions about the typical issues leaders face.
