Recruiting Changes for 2009-2010

We are pleased to announce two major changes to the recruiting calendar for next year:

  • On-campus recruiting (OCR) will begin on Monday, February 15 (President’s Day). Starting internship interviews in mid-February will allow employers much more time to identify and target top talent during the late fall and early winter weeks. In addition to CMC-sponsored events such as the Recruiter Days, Company Networking Nights and Meet the Company presentations, organizations will have ample time to schedule off-campus events, coffee chats and on-site visits for students. The combination of CMC-sponsored and company-sponsored events will provide employers and students the opportunity for deeper engagement. With internship interviews starting in mid-February, students will also be able to focus on their academic commitments and complete winter quarter midterms prior to the start of interviews.
  • To accommodate a large number of organizations’ needs, the GSB will shift its class schedule for five weeks during winter quarter recruiting so that students will not have class on the following Fridays: Feb. 12, 19, 26; March 5 and 12. This means that students will be available to fly-back for interviews on Fridays which will be more convenient for both recruiters and students. This improved class schedule will better meet the needs of employers who participate in
On-Campus Recruiting and employers who target students for off-campus recruiting efforts.

Also, the complete program, calendar, and new policies will be available at the time of early registration May 11-15.
