Recruiter Day & Company Networking Night
Targeting MBA1 Students
Recruiter Day: November 18, 2009 (12:00—5:30 p.m.)
The innovative Recruiter Day format increases student attendance so organizations can identify greater numbers of interested students early in the cycle. This event, with different organizations and industries participating, is offered on a non-class day and provides the earliest access to MBA1 students. Students have the opportunity to attend multiple tracks during the Recruiter Day.
To book a Recruiter Day presentation, organizations must be registered for OCR winter internship interviews.
What to Expect on Your Recruiter Day:
- You will be scheduled in a track with five or six other organizations from a similar industry or with a similar job function.
- Each organization in your track will deliver an exclusive 15-minute presentation during the session.
- Organization representatives will not be present for each other's presentation.
- In order to reach different student audiences, you will present three times during the afternoon.
- Students are required to listen to all organizations in each session and have the opportunity to attend three tracks during each Recruiter Day.
- Plan on sending one or two mid-career professionals to present.
- Participating organizations are also invited to participate in the Company Networking Night (CNN) immediately following the Recruiter Day.
- No promotional items are allowed at this event.
The Recruiter Day event is immediately followed by a CNN event for organizations targeting first-year MBAs. Both MBA2 and Self-Sponsored Sloans are also welcome to attend.
Company Networking Night: November 18, 2009 (6—8 p.m.)
During the CNN, employers have the opportunity to meet students informally to network and answer students’ specific questions. This event is held at the beginning of the recruiting cycle. As a large marquee event, the CNN reduces student scheduling conflicts and maximizes attendance.
Organization representatives need to bring only:
- Business cards and one marketing piece
- The CMC will provide organization signs, name tags, and a registration sheet for attendees
This event is the primary vehicle for organizations to meet with students and build their student interest lists. It also provides an excellent networking opportunity for students and recruiting firms, increasing the organization's contact with students.
OCR registration is not required to participate in a CNN.
