Targeted Events
These smaller events are ideal for identifying and getting to know students who might be excellent candidates for your organization:
- Office Hours or Coffee Chats
These events are an opportunity for recruiters to meet informally with students in a more intimate setting. Recruiters can tell students about the firm and answer questions in a non-evaluative session.Office Hours or Coffee Chats cannot be held in Arbuckle Café.
Office Hours and Coffee Chats are available for one or multiple students at a time. They are held after September 28 for second-year MBAs and after November 9 for first-year MBAs. Office Hours and Coffee Chats can be held on- or off-campus. The use of space in the CMC and the Jackson Library is limited and is available on a first-come, first-served basis.
- Off-Site Dinners and Receptions
Organizations that want to target particular students can invite them to dinners and receptions. Contact a Recruiting Relationship Manager to discuss ways to target students, publicize your event, and schedule activities to maximize attendance. All off-campus events must be submitted to and approved by a Recruiting Relationship Manager prior to being finalized.
- Organization Site Visits
Introduce students to your organization by inviting them to your office. These visits are often done in conjunction with either
On-Campus Recruiting (OCR) or a student club career trek, where students visit multiple organizations in one region. Site visits must be scheduled when class is not in session.See our listing of Student Clubs.
