Student Clubs & Treks
Student Clubs
Students actively share their leadership skills, time, and talents to further fellow students’ interests, learn outside of the classroom, and participate in activities within industry at large. Clubs are the most important venue for facilitating this activity.
Partnering with one of the many GSB Student Clubs is an excellent opportunity for your organization to promote your brand among the student population as well as target a specific student audience.
GSB Student Clubs are typically eager to connect with executives on a range of career-related activities including:
- Brown Bag Lunches (BBLs)
An organization presents to a club about an innovative product or business process or will speak about an interesting industry trend. - Panel discussions and conferences
- Career or industry-specific workshops
- View From the Top
Distinguished speakers are invited through our View From the Top series organized by Mike Hochleutner of the Center for Leadership Development.
Treks
Treks are typically organized by a club or group of interested students who reach out and visit employers either in a geographical location or representing a specific industry. By providing an opportunity to have a group of interested students visit your site and experience your culture first-hand, you make connections with students. This is a distinct and critical way of impacting students and highlighting for them the opportunities that exist in your organization outside of more traditional venues, such as on-campus recruiting or presentations.
A few examples of past treks include: Marketing; Real Estate; Eurotrek; Finance, Travel and Hospitality, and Retail.
Study Trips
Study Trips are proposed on a year-to-year basis. Organizations within a given geographical location are visited. A sample of trips scheduled for 2008-09 were: Australia, Brazil, Colombia, Egypt & Jordan, India,
Israel, Japan, Mexico,
Philippines & Thailand,
Slovenia & Croatia, South Africa & Botswana,
Spain, Taiwan, Hong Kong & Macau,

and Turkey.
