Student Engagement Opportunities
Connect and Network with Students
We are excited to present this year’s student engagement opportunities for sponsorship to maximize your organization’s visibility among our students and faculty. If your company would like to support these student opportunities and be recognized as a corporate donor, please contact Laura Moore at 650.723.6641.
Supporting any of the following funds for the upcoming academic year, qualifies your organization as a corporate investor. Participating as a corporate investor provides your organization with increased visibility throughout the year through recognition in prominent locations at the School as well as printed documents including the Corporate Plaque in the Career Management Center and the Corporate Plaque in the Student courtyard, the Annual Report, in addition to others.
Industry-focused Event Fund
$10,000 annual investment for event sponsor
$25,000 annual investment for lead sponsor*
As a sponsor of this fund, companies have the opportunity to sponsor all of the industry-specific student events to be held in 2008-09. These are high-quality, student-led events, which focus on an industry or featured topic of interest to GSB students. The programs will feature a keynote speaker, roundtable discussions, or a panel presentation followed by a networking opportunity (i.e. reception or dinner). In addition to the recognition outlined above, corporate sponsors of this fund will have their information given to all event leaders for potential speaking opportunities and will be recognized on the event website, event program, and verbally at the event. Sponsors will also receive complimentary registration for up to four company attendees at each Industry-Focused event. Supporting this fund is an excellent way to build brand awareness and connect more closely with our students and the School. Typical events that this fund supports include the Principal Investment Conference, Healthcare Banquet, Business of Education Symposium, Global Marketing Conference, and Future of Entertainment Conference.
Please note opportunities denoted with an asterisk (*) are exclusive and allow for only one company per industry. These opportunities will be determined by a first come, first served basis.
The Diversity Fund*

The goal of the Diversity Fund is to engage corporations in the School’s recruitment, education, and student-led events for MBA students from diverse backgrounds. A significant factor in fostering diversity at the School is the ability to offer dynamic academic, extracurricular, and social activities to a broad community of students. Corporate sponsors of this fund will have their information given to all event leaders for speaking opportunities and will be recognized on the event website, event program, and verbally at the event. Sponsors will also receive complimentary registration for up to four company attendees at each diversity banquet event. Events that this fund support include the Annual Black Business Student Association (BBSA) Conference, HBSA Latino Leadership Banquet, Women in Management (WIM) Banquet, and fall student planning retreats for Out4Biz, BBSA, HBSA, and WIM. In addition, support is provided for MBA admissions outreach including the Many Voices Day and MBA Preparation with Management Leadership for Tomorrow.

Leadership Labs’ Executive Challenge*
$15,000 annual investment
The Leadership Laboratories Executive Challenge is a one-of-a-kind learning experience for the entire first-year class (and roughly 160 senior-level GSB alumni and executives from around the world) presented by the School’s Center for Leadership Development and Research. The Executive Challenge highlights a key element of the School’s redesigned MBA curriculum: Leadership Education and Training. This event engages alumni and up to five corporate sponsors in a series of experiential leadership challenges with first-year MBA students, simulating some of the difficult issues that CEO's and senior leaders face in a typical day. Sponsors will have the opportunity to have a representative participate as a corporate judge on the day of the Challenge; they will be recognized in program literature, and verbally at the event throughout the day. Supporting this fund is an excellent way to build brand awareness and connect more closely with students and the entire GSB community. This event is capped at five corporate sponsors.

Porras Award to a Stanford alum that has made a positive professional, social, or civic contribution to the Latino community at large. The evening fosters relationships with corporations and professional organizations that invest in the development and recruitment of Latino MBA's. Most importantly, the Latino Leadership Banquet provides an opportunity for the community of Latino students to come together and build stronger ties both with each other and with the larger GSB community. Corporate sponsors will be recognized on the event website, event program, and verbally at the event. Sponsors will also receive complimentary registration for up to four company attendees.

The event coincides with the School's Admit Weekend to give prospective students an opportunity to experience the black community's contribution to the professional development of the student body and community. A prominent keynote speaker, networking and dinner brings together students (current and prospective), alumni, faculty, and GSB staff for this unique celebration. Corporate sponsors will be recognized on the event website, event program, and verbally at the event. Sponsors will also receive complimentary registration for up to four company attendees.

The women of the GSB are independent critical thinkers, who are destined to be the future leaders of companies, big and small, around the world. The WIM Banquet applauds and celebrates the ability of the extraordinary GSB women to lead in a complex, pluralistic world. Corporate sponsors will be recognized on the event website, event program, and verbally at the event. Sponsors will also receive complimentary registration for up to four company attendees.
Please note opportunities denoted with an asterisk (*) are exclusive and allow for one company per industry. These opportunities will be determined by a first come, first serve basis.
