The Knight Management Center

Creating an Environment of Collaboration

A campus for the 21st century and beyond demands facilities to support new ways of teaching and learning that are critical to achieving our academic vision at the Stanford Graduate School of Business. To succeed, we need a new campus to replace our inadequate facilities and address critical needs. With greater flexibility and more variety of spaces, the design of the campus will support a range of pedagogical styles, feature state-of-the-art instructional technology, and facilitate collaborations with faculty and students from around Stanford.

Our new campus will feature:

  • More flexible teaching spaces for both larger and smaller classes in configurations to support a variety of teaching styles and integrate instructional technology,
  • A state-of-the-art auditorium large enough for the entire student body and to host important events,
  • Welcoming casual and academic space for students, visitors, and the Stanford community at large,
  • Creative workspace for faculty to encourage collaboration,
  • New space to house our centers and host their activities, and
  • Custom-designed space to expand and support our executive education programs.

Corporations play a key role in helping the School make this new campus a reality and can gain permanent visibility by investing in priority areas.

Opportunities to Support the New Campus

Buildings
A new community of buildings ranging from 10,000 to 100,000 square feet.

Courtyards and Community Spaces
Creative use of outdoor spaces are a Stanford tradition providing a nexus for events, conferences, and interaction among members of the Stanford community.

Academic Suites
Creative faculty work spaces will include offices and conference/seminar rooms.

Classrooms and Seminar Rooms
A new mix of classroom sizes and styles will support learning for student groups as small as 15 and as large as 150.

In-Kind Product
Through an in-kind product donation to the School, your organization's solutions will be used and/or implemented in the efforts we are undertaking to revolutionize management education.

In addition, opportunities to support information resources exist in order to integrate cutting-edge technology into the new campus. By harnessing the power of technology, faculty can disseminate ideas in new ways and increase their impact.
