Research Project
Nonprofit Board Governance
Former Senior Lecturer Constance Bagley, now Associate Professor at Harvard Business School, received funding to survey nonprofit board members in collaboration with the National Center for Nonprofit Boards. This project involved assessing the role that nonprofit boards play in governing their respective organizations. Researchers surveyed nonprofit board members to understand the changing nature of the board's role in the organization, board member backgrounds and skills, board meetings, and board effectiveness. The results of this research can be found in The Nonprofit Governance Index, a publication available for purchase through BoardSource.
