Program Objectives:
This program was developed to deliver a world-class supply chain management education program that supports China’s continuing development and transformation. The specific objectives of the program are:

  • Collaborate with key educational institutions and partners to establish a self-sustaining globally recognized program that continuously drives thought leadership in supply chain management
  • Increase supply chain knowledge, skills, and leadership capabilities of Chinese Senior Supply Chain Executives so that they can more effectively lead their organizations to compete in the global marketplace.  

 

Key Takeaways:
By the end of this program, the learner will be able to:

  • Identify how to apply various supply chain strategies using AAA Supply Chain Principles, and how to set and implement various strategies
  • Identify best practices in supply chain operations with respect to information systems, supply-demand matching, collaborative planning and forecasting, inventory control and supply chain risk management
  • Identify best practices with respect to logistics (product flow) including information flow, distribution strategies, transportation flow management, and global trade processes. Also Identify best practices with respect to trading partners such as customs processes, financial arrangements etc.
  • Identify the impact of new product design on supply chains and best practices regarding collaborative design and product introduction
  • Identify best practices in partnership and change management with respect to suppliers, customers and organizations (including collaborative planning, building trusting relationships, performance measures, risk sharing, gain sharing, incentives, motivation, leadership skills, organizational behaviors and long-term relationships, leading change and cross-functional collaboration)
  • Articulate the characteristics of the Chinese supply chain infrastructure, including manufacturing and distribution infrastructures, infrastructure development, government regulations, support, WTO trends, port logistics, cultural issues etc.
  • Identify issues to be addressed in emerging countries, such as social responsibility, environmental sustainability, financing constraints, development of new economies, increasing supply chain risks and security concerns etc.
