The Stanford Executive Program

Application Process

Prospective participants may submit their application materials for the 2010 Stanford Executive Program at any time before the application deadline. All applicants to the program will receive an email confirmation within three (3) business days of our receipt of their application materials. Applicants will be notified of their admission status by early May 2010 or no later than six weeks after submitting the application.

Required Qualifications

The application process for the Stanford Executive Program is extremely competitive. Candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Senior-level executives with company- or country-wide responsibilities
  • At least 12-15 years of management experience 
  • Proficiency in English, especially regarding business terms
  • Financial sponsorship and endorsement from their organization

Fees

Program fees of $54,000 USD include tuition, private accommodations, meals, books and course materials, and a personal computer with high-speed Internet service for the duration of the program.

To confirm a place in the program, payment of fees is due immediately upon notification of admission to the program.

Cancellation Policy

  • Upon cancellation at any time, a fee of $1,000 USD will be assessed and immediately deducted from any paid fees.
  • For cancellations made before or on May 7, 2010, 100% of paid fees will be refunded, minus the $1,000 USD cancellation fee.
  • For cancellations made between May 8 and May 21, 2010, 50% of paid fees will be refunded.
  • For cancellations made after or on May 22, 2010, paid fees will not be refunded.


To Apply

All prospective applicants must submit a total of four (4) application documents to be considered for acceptance into the Stanford Executive Program. There are no exceptions to this policy. 

The four documents are as follows:

  1. Application Form. Applicants may complete this form in one of two ways:.

  2. Confidential Statement. This is a recommendation form to be completed by the applicant's direct supervisor.
  3. Organizational Chart. The chart must show the applicant's position in the organization as well as the number of management levels between the applicant and the Chief Executive Officer.

  4. Corporate Professional Photograph.
    • The applicant's photograph may be mailed or sent via email to sep@gsb.stanford.edu.
      Digital pictures should be 300 dpi and saved as a .jpg formatted file.

Program dates, fees, and faculty are subject to change. If a program is cancelled, Stanford will refund the program tuition in full but is not responsible for travel, accommodations or other expenses incurred by the participant.
