The Stanford Executive Program takes place on the Stanford University campus,
located approximately 30 miles (50 kilometers) south of the city of San
Francisco, California and 20 miles (30 kilometers) north of the city of San
Jose. Both cities feature international airports with connecting
rail, bus, and car service to the campus.

The Stanford campus is world renowned for its
natural beauty, Spanish architecture, and temperate climate. Nestled
between the university town of Palo Alto and rolling foothills, the
campus grounds provide a self-contained, spacious, and tranquil learning
environment. With more than 8,180 acres (3,310 hectares), Stanford's
campus ranks as one of the largest in the United States.
Participants in the Stanford Executive Program
become part of a quintessential university setting, residing together,
walking or biking to classes, and enjoying access to Stanford University
facilities.

Designed by renowned Mexican architect Ricardo
Legorreta, the Schwab Residential Center gives residents ample privacy
while promoting collegial interaction. It lies adjacent to tennis
and basketball courts, and minutes away from Stanford's libraries and
gymnasiums. During the summer, the Center's 260 rooms are devoted
exclusively to executive programs, offering many opportunities for
participants to network with peers.
All participants enjoy comfortable private rooms
that include a private bath, extra-long double bed, desk, personal
computer with high-speed internet service, phone with direct outside
line and voicemail, television, and ample study space. Each room shares
a full kitchen with a neighboring room, and participants have access to
the Center's exercise room and fax, mail, and print services.
All participants in the Stanford Executive Program
live at the Center, which is wheelchair-accessible and located a short
walk from program classrooms.

The Stanford campus is conveniently located at the center
of a wealth of local attractions, which participants can explore on weekends and
during the mid-program break. The city of San Francisco lies less than an
hour to the north by car or rail, with the world-famous vineyards of Napa Valley
just beyond. To the south lie the scenic Pacific beach towns of Santa
Cruz, Pebble Beach, Monterey, and Carmel. The San Francisco Bay Area is a
wonderfully beautiful and diverse place, offering sights, sounds, and tastes
from all over the world.
The program was clearly a highlight of my business career. The resources of Stanford and the availability of people both in and outside of the program were sensational.
