This site provides information for the 12th annual research conference on Strategy and the Business Environment, including the program, registration, and logistics information. This conference, which rotates among several top business schools, will be hosted by Stanford Graduate School of Business. The conference begins with lunch at noon on Friday, May 18, and the first session begins at 1p.m. The conference concludes at 2:15 p.m. on Saturday May 19. The conference sessions will be held in the Gunn Building, room G102. Papers will be available on this site in early May.
The objective of this conference is to explore the interrelationships between the business strategies of firms and the social, legal, and political environment in which they operate. We are receptive to a wide range of research perspectives and methodologies, including formal theoretical modeling, quantitative empirical research, and qualitative research. Papers drawn from economics, political science, strategic management, and other fields are appropriate for the conference.
