Class Agent Responsibilities

Make a Gift Now To accomplish the ambitious goal of redefining management education, we want to engage more people in the School, build alumni support, and increase the involvement of our alumni in development activities between reunion years. The Class Agent Program is at the core of meeting these objectives.

Twenty MBA classes are included in the Class Agent program and nearly 60 volunteers serve as agents. Thanks to personal outreach by the agents, these classes regularly lead the GSB in annual giving participation and keep their classmates connected to each other and the School. Various levels of involvement are available:

Level One

  1. Make an annual gift each year.
  2. Review and approve 3-4 letters per year to all classmates to be sent with your signature.
  3. Review and approve 3-5 emails to all classmates to be sent with your signature.
  4. Review and approve two brief newsletters to classmates to be emailed under your name.
  5. Send thank you notes by email or snail mail.
  6. Make personal calls or send emails to a small group of classmates to encourage annual gifts or send reminders to make pledge payments. GSB Development Staff helps with messaging and distribution.

Level Two (in addition to all of the above)

  1. Help identify classmates with leadership and volunteer potential.
  2. Recruit a small team (of up to six) volunteers to solicit 5-6 classmates each for annual gifts or pledge payments and help with thank you notes.
