Centers at the GSB
Innovative programs transform the learning experience at the GSB. Over the years the School has pioneered new approaches to studying organizational management, and since 1996 learning centers have been formed which represent the four cornerstones of a comprehensive general management education. The Centers were established to provide focal points for teaching, research, case writing, student activities, executive education and community outreach efforts in each of the four cornerstones. Through both annual unrestricted giving and more permanent forms of funding, the Centers dramatically shape the student experience by having financial resources to live and grow by.
- Center for Entrepreneurial Studies
Through the Center for Entrepreneurial Studies, donors support those individuals engaged in efforts to start and grow new business enterprises, truly helping to create the next generation of entrepreneurs. The Center supports this ground-breaking group by promoting research on and enhancing the curriculum with information about entrepreneurial companies and topics relevant to entrepreneurs, providing resources for students and alumni embarking on entrepreneurial ventures, and establishing relationships with the local entrepreneurial community. CES acts as a hub for the interests and pursuits of the entrepreneurial players—faculty, students, and practitioners—by anticipating the issues, encouraging research, and graduating well-trained managers. - Center for Global Business and the Economy
The Center for Global Business and the Economy focuses on instilling students with a global managerial mindset. Supporting the Center ensures future leaders are aware of the significance of the globalization of the world's economies, attuned to the challenges of operating businesses that are embedded in a global economy, and prepared to lead their organizations to success in the international environment. CGBE prepares students for this increasingly critical field not just through research and teaching, but especially through extracurricular activities through the Global Management Program, which will take on an even larger role as the new MBA curriculum will require each student to have an international experience. The Center's core global theme presents many opportunities for collaboration with the larger University community thanks to Stanford's International Initiative. - Center for Leadership Development and Research
The Center for Leadership Development and Research helps give students a head start in how to be good leaders and change organizations for the better. The Center makes significant contributions to the advancement of leadership knowledge and the development of leadership by creating forums through which faculty, students, and business leaders can learn from one another and create insight for the next generation. Support of CLDR helps produce valuable learning vehicles that emphasize personal development, interactive learning, diverse perspectives, and contextual relevance. - Center for Social Innovation
Through the Center for Social Innovation, your contribution helps teach current and future generations of executives throughout all sectors to not only be effective managers and leaders, but also active agents of positive social change.
