How the Fund is Allocated

MBA 08 kayak

Each year the Development Office meets with the Finance Office to determine where to allocate our funds, according to the guidance given by our class. The One Million Dreams Fund money will be allocated to innovative, new programming that supports the future direction of the School. Class gift donors will receive an annual message electronically reporting on the programming supported by the 2008 fund.

When our collection of class opinions through surveys and other methods is complete, we will post the class priorities for the One Million Dreams Fund.

Current major priorities of the GSB include:

  • Continued development of the new curriculum (course designs, new cases, second-year seminars, second-year spring quarter synthesis course, expanded study trips, and GMIX opportunities)
  • Moving forward with the new campus necessary to fully implement the new curriculum and collaboration
  • Collaboration across the university (additional multi-disciplinary courses and new joint faculty research)
  • Hiring additional faculty (plan is to expand the faculty by 5-10%)
  • Advising/training for faculty
