International Internships
The GMP encourages MBA students to work internationally through our flagship summer internship program, GMIX (Global Management Immersion Experience). The objectives of this program are to encourage students to explore business and society in a country that is new to them, as well as enhance the GSB community and classrooms with the insights gained from their professional and cultural experiences abroad.
For sponsoring organizations, GMIX is an effective way to engage MBAs for critical projects that might not otherwise be undertaken due to staffing constraints. In a short period of time, our students are able to deliver on projects such as evaluating new market opportunities or making recommendations on streamlining internal processes--to name just a few examples.
Click here for more information on GMIX.
Career-related Events
In 2005, 41 percent of our graduating students accepted positions that were international or global in scope, and 68 percent reported that their employers have international or global operations. Students from the Class of 2005 chose jobs representing over 43 industries in 85 cities and 18 countries around the world.
Throughout the year, the GMP sponsors panels, networking events, and brown-bag lunches to expose students to different international career opportunities. Click here for details.
International Loan Forgiveness
We further encourage global leadership for our MBAs after they graduate, through an innovative international loan forgiveness program. The objective of the GSB International Loan Forgiveness Program is to encourage non-US citizen MBAs to work in organizations that are located in developing countries by reducing the financial impact of their GSB educational debt. For more information, see the GSB's official page on the International Loan Forgiveness Program in the Financial Aid website.
