Exchange Programs

The Global Management Program (GMP) provides students with unique learning opportunities to examine management, business, and society in China and India through its international student exchange programs.

The Stanford-Tsinghua Exchange Program (STEP) and the Stanford-Indian Institute of Management (Bangalore) Link (SAIL) offer distinctive environments for students to learn about two important emerging economies first-hand. These exchange programs are part of the School’s continued initiatives to expand its international presence and facilitate a truly global education.

Each program includes a one week visit by Tsinghua and Indian Institute of Management (Bangalore) [IIM(B)] students to Stanford, and a reciprocal visit of the same duration to the partner institution abroad. Stanford GSB program participants are also required to attend preparatory country-specific lectures, engage in case discussions with classmates, and collaborate in small groups with classmates across the globe on a final academic project.

The STEP and SAIL international exchange programs are excellent opportunities for GSB students to gain exposure to business and culture in two important world regions, to develop an appreciation for a culture that is new to them, and to establish strong networks with other future global leaders.
