Stanford Ignite - Bangalore, India

Stanford Ignite Faculty Director, Yossi Feinberg, The John G. McCoy – Banc One Professor of Economics, provides an overview of the Stanford Ignite program.

Stanford GSB is coming to Bangalore in August 2013 with our Stanford Ignite certificate program for engineers, scientists, and product managers who want to bring innovation and entrepreneurial thinking to their current roles. This nine-week part-time program, being held on the Infosys campus, will run on nights and weekends from August to October 2013. Applications are now being accepted.

Stanford Ignite - Bangalore, modeled after the Stanford Ignite programs taught on Stanford's Silicon Valley campus, will teach participants how to formulate, evaluate, develop and commercialize their ideas. Attendees will learn core business and leadership skills while working on teams to develop a business plan around a new product/service for their organization or a new venture. The program is designed for high-potential working professionals with deep technical expertise as well as currently enrolled Master's, PhD, MD, or postdoctoral students in non-business fields. Upon completion of the program, participants will receive a certificate in Innovation and Entrepreneurship from Stanford Graduate School of Business.

Stanford Ignite classes are taught by the same Stanford GSB faculty who teach in our MBA Program. Prominent executives and corporate, venture, and angel investors participate as guest speakers, expert panelists and business mentors to provide candid feedback on team projects. Academic content will be taught through a combination of in-person instruction as well as live sessions delivered by distance learning technology.
