Quick Guide to the Classic Jackson Catalog

Searching the Catalog

There are two modes of searching the catalog:  Simple Search, or the more powerful Advanced Search.

Simple Search

Use the Simple Search to find results based on the author's name, publication title, subject, or call number.  Note that quick limits can be applied to simple searches.

Advanced Search

Use the Advanced Search when you want to use a word or phrases combined with Boolean operators (and, or, not) to search specific parts of a record such as a title, subject, author, publisher name or date, or keywords anywhere.  In both the simple search and advanced search, you can always apply specific limits such as language, dates, place of publication, etc.

My Account

You can also access your personal library records via the catalog.  Using the 'My Account' link, you can look up information about material you have charged out, overdue items, unpaid bills, the status of hold or recalls you have placed, and also renew items.

Course Reserve

Using the Course Reserve link (or tab), you can look up reserve material for current Business School courses.  The reserve function also provides electronic access to selected reserve material.

New Additions

Use the New Additions tab, you can find a listing of new materials added to the library collections in the latest four months.
