These databases are made available to you by Jackson Library for academic use only.  They are accessible via GSB (or Stanford) Computers. 

GSB users can access web-based databases remotely through WebApps.
All Stanford users have off-campus access to databases that are on Stanford Network through the university's proxy server.

Comprehensive, global database containing information on over 22,000 public and private banks. Includes Fitch, Moody’s and Standard & Poor’s ratings. Instant peer group analysis provided by integrated analysis software. Data is updated daily. Note: When accessing the database via WRDS, click on Bureau van Dijk on the opening screen.

• Compustat North America - financial data items on more than 24,000 public companies.
• Compustat Global - data on publicly held companies in more than 80 countries.
• EMDB (Emerging Markets Database) - covers 53 emerging markets and more than 2,200 stocks in developing countries.

Bank Regulatory

Provides accounting data for Bank Holding Companies, Commercial Banks, Savings Banks, and Savings and Loans Institutions. The source of the data comes from the required regulatory forms filled for supervising purposes.

FDIC (Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation)

Contains historical financial data for all entities filing the Report of Condition and Income (Call Report) and some savings institutions filing the OTS Thrift Financial Report (TFR). These entities include commercial banks, savings banks, or savings and loans.
