Virtual Library Tour

Main Floor > Upper Floor

Welcome to the Jackson Library. The Library is located in the South Building of the Business School complex at Stanford.

Check out circulating library material, including Reserve reading, at the Access Services Desk near the Library entrance.

The Directory just inside our entrance offers maps of Jackson's two floors [ PDF 62KB] and an office and staff guide.

Want to impress colleagues with your knowledge of the latest trends, or be able to quote from today's reigning biz gurus? Our Popular Business Books display, near the Library entrance, can keep you on top of what's happening.

The Current Periodicals display holds our latest issues of popular periodicals, attractively arranged by title. Older issues are on the Upper Floor.

Comfortable furniture and lots of light make for a relaxing environment in which to read, alone or with friends.

At the right corner of the Main Floor is our Student Lounge area. Relax in the sunlight with a cup of java and the morning paper! Food and beverages are permitted in this area.

In the Trader's Pit, we make available to the Stanford community the kind of sophisticated financial research tools typically used by investors, analysts, and Wall Street traders. A large-screen TV and stock index display nearby keep students abreast of breaking news.

Our New Books selection is a great way to keep up with the latest scholarly (and popular) additions to the Collection.

The Information Desk, at the center of the main floor, is the place to come to locate material or get help with your research.

Career Corner is a special, self-service collection containing books that cover many aspects of  career planing.

Students conducting a job search will find here a wide array of how-to guides and information about careers.

Stepping inside the Reference Room, you are presented with a wealth of business research tools. Here are found statistical collections, directories, and industry and country overviews.

Networked workstations
are distributed throughout both floors of the Library; printing and downloading are available.

V
ideos can be screened at viewing stations; our growing video collection is shelved nearby. Headphones can be checked out at the Access Desk on the Main Floor.
