Event Attendees:

Robert Chiuch, EPSO 2004 will be attending the upcoming Stanford Executive Education event in New York City on February 28, 2008.  The event will focus on the Stanford Executive Program, and Professor Robert Burgelman will be sharing his recent research on the role of strategy in firm evolution.

Information Updates:

Rob Tarkoff, EPSO 2004 left Documentum to pursue an opportunity at Adobe Systems Inc.  He has assumed the role of Senior Vice President, Corporate Development.

Sascha Breitfuss, EPSO 2005 left Insurance Group Australia to pursue an opportunity with HSBC.  He has assumed the role of Associate Director, Strategic Planning for HSBC Investments.

Jonathan Yuen, EPSO 2005 has started a new assignment in Newport, RI.  He is now a Fellow on the Chief of Naval Operations' Strategic Studies Group.  His group is an operational research center for revolutionary naval warfare concepts.

Jean Marc Patenaude, EPSO 2006 left Rambus Inc. in June of 2007.  He plans to take some time off, and then start his own business.

Yoshi Nakamichi, EPSO 2006 welcomed a baby boy to his family in February of 2007.

Kuniaki Tohmatsu and Yoshi Nakamichi, both EPSO 2006 hosted a Stanford visit to Japan.  Monica Seghers Hayes from Executive Education was visiting with companies throughout Asia and was delighted to connect with past participants.

Spring 2006

Outside his life at work as the Queensland State Manager for Hewlett-Packard Australia, EPSO 2004 participant, Ross West, is dedicating his time to participate in and raise funds for the '2006 Tour de Kids.' Ross will cycle 1000 km from Brisbane to Newcastle at the beginning of April. We welcome you to join the EPSO Class of 2004 in supporting Ross and the Starlight Children's Foundation Australia.

March 2006

February 2006

Matt Pancino participated in The Cole Classic Swim sponsored by the Manly Life Saving Club in Sydney, Australia.

Deepal Sooriyaarachchi was promoted to Managing Director of Eagle Insurance Company Ltd. after a UK based insurance company, AVIVA, fifth largest in the world, acquired control.

January 2006

Hashim Al-Rifaai was promoted to a new position at Kuwait Oil Company. He has assumed the responsibility of Deputy Chairman & Deputy Managing Director for the Oil Development Company. Congratulations and best wishes!

Richard Davis has been participating in 10K races and maintains motivation to eventually participate in a marathon.

November 2005

Giampaolo Di Donato and Armin Wuzella attended the Stanford GSB Executive Forum held in Sao Paolo. Professor Margaret Neale gave a presentation on "Creating and Managing the Innovative Team: Lessons for Leaders and Members." Maggie is a leading expert in negotiation and conflict management. September 2005

Sascha Breitfuss attended the Stanford GSB Executive Forum held in Shanghai. Professor Bill Barnett gave a presentation on "How Companies Win in Dynamic Competition".

August 2005

The New Zealand Sales Manager for SAS paid a visit to Christine Stevenson. We hope that the connection through Professor Jeff Pfeffer helped ameliorate the situation.
