"Sports Business Management"
George Foster, Paul L. and Phyllis Wattis Professor of Management
The sports industry attracts talented executives, both from within it's leagues, clubs, sponsors, media and from other industries. Professor George Foster will examine major areas of sports business management where there are similarities and differences with management in other industries. Examples are drawn from sporting industries throughout the world. The discussion will cover management practices at the team sport level --NFL, MLB, NBA, NHL, and EPL--and in individual sports such as tennis and golf.
