Statistics

  • National Center for Education Statistics - in "Tables & Figures" section, browse current and comparative data for all levels of education. Online full-text of the latest editions of The Condition of Education and The Digest of Education Statistics. From US Department of Education and the Institute of Education Sciences.
  • Chronicle of Higher Education - "Special Issues and Data" section contains higher education-related statistics, such as compensation data for educational professionals and executives, searchable database of endowments funds for 150 colleges and universities and more. Also includes data on for-profit universities and the Chronicle's interactive quarterly index of For-Profit Higher education.
  • World Bank EdStats - the historical statistics on over 100 educational indicators worldwide along with individual country prifiles with educational data.
  • Council of Graduate Schools - the "Research" section includes annual "Graduate Enrollment and Degrees Report" and links to pertinent sources on higher education statistics.

  • Best Graduate Schools - annual ranking of American graduate shools performed by U.S. News & World Report. Premium access [icon - Stanford] is available to Stanford users (Inquire at the Jackson Library Information Desk)
  • Business School Rankings & Profiles - annual ranking of top US and selected non-US MBA programs and undergraduate business programs from Business Week.

Associations & Organizations

  • Department of Education - the main US government body in education website. Also includes links to states' departments of education and to education-related data and statistics.
  • Professional Education Associations - a selected list of links to professional organizations for educational professionals.
