NOTE: Stanford users can retrieve full-text articles from sources subscribed to by the libraries of the university. Citations can be imported into bibliography managers, such as EndNote and RefWork. On its 'Preferences' page, under 'Library Links', type 'Stanford'; under 'Bibliography Manager', select desired bibliography software.

Google Maps

Allows users in the U.S. to find location information, navigate through maps, and get directions. A 3D view of the planet can be downloaded at Google Earth

Windows Live Local

Checks traffic conditions, finds shortest route or suggested fastest route between two locations, etc.  Can easily be switched into the 3D view of Microsoft Virtual Earth.
