How to find articles in journals, newspapers, magazines?
For journal articles, select a database from Databases: Journal Articles; For newspaper articles, go to Databases: News. Some examples below:
Business Source Complete
Contains full-text scholarly journals and periodicals covering management, economics, finance, and covering core titles such as Harvard Business Review, McKinsey Quarterly.
The Basic search is for quick searching; Advanced search allows combining words in different searchable fields, e.g. author with title words, author with subject terms.
Basic Search
Example: Find articles about a topic.
- Enter the keyword (e.g. leadership) in the Find box.
- Click Search.
Advanced Search
Example: Search for a full-text articles in 2005.
- Click the Advanced Search tab.
- Check the Full Text box.
- Limit the Published Date to Jan 2005 to Dec 2005.
- Click Search.

From your list of search results you can view either HTML or PDF full-text version by clicking the corresponding link.

Provides comprehensive coverage for full-text newspapers, magazines, trade journals, and newswires.
Basic Search
Example: Browse headlines from the latest issues of leading newspapers and magazines.
- Click the News Pages tab at the main search screen.
- Browse the headlines from the latest issues of leading newspapers and magazines displayed.
- Use the drop-down list to view either a specific date or section of the paper.
Lexis/ Nexis Academic
Offers a full-text collection of business, company, financial info and general news from current and historical national and regional newspapers, magazines and wire services.
Quick News Search
Example: Find news about a particular industry.
- Click Business from the left menu bar, choose the Industry&Market subcategory
- On the search form, enter the industry in the keyword box.
- Narrow search by entering additional terms.
- Select Industry on which to focus your search from the drop down list.
- Select date range.
- Click Search.
