Document Delivery Service
Jackson Library Document Delivery Service provides document retrieval and delivery service to Business School faculty and staff (Business School related research only). This includes articles, books, chapters of books and papers from Stanford collections. If Stanford does not own the requested material, an Interlibrary Loan will be requested on your behalf.
Document Delivery is designed for the delivery of SINGLE copies of items, and is not a photo-reproduction service. It operates in full compliance with United States copyright law.
How to Order
- Submit requests by sending e-mail to Document Delivery Services .
- New faculty and staff should be aware that the registration process at other campus libraries will cause a brief delay in your initial request.
- Sign up for the Current Awareness Service to receive the tables of contents of new journal issues by e-mail. You can order articles directly from this service by clicking on desired journal articles. Call 5-1073 for more information about this service.
Please ensure that citations for requested items are accurate. Incomplete or incorrect citations cause delays.
Rushes: When you need material in a hurry, please specify rush in your request. We will try to deliver the material within 4 hours. We will contact you if we are unable to deliver the item within that time.
A note about rusheswe drop everything to try to meet a rush request deadline. Please use this kind of request sparingly because it affects service to everyone else.
When and Where to Expect Delivery
Our typical turnaround is 48 hours; however, unavailable or difficult-to-find items may take considerably longer. We will notify you of delay within two days and attempt to obtain the item for up to one month, unless you specify a sooner date by which you need the item or wish to cancel the order.
We deliver faculty requests to faculty's assigned Faculty Assistant's office. Staff requests are delivered to staff mailboxes or inboxes.
Please note that circulating material from libraries is checked out to individual faculty or staff, not to Document Delivery. Faculty and staff are responsible for returning material to the appropriate library before the stamped due date.
Order Status
We will notify you of the status of your requests within 48 hours. However, please call -5-1073 or e-mail Document_Delivery@gsb.stanford.edu to check on the status of a request at any time.
