Library FAQ: General Information

1. What are your hours?

A: Library hours vary according to the academic calendar. The Information Desk is staffed during most of the hours the Library is open. Call the Library, 650-723-2162, or visit our Library Hours Webpage for our current hours.

2. Can I eat in the library?

A: Since food and its odors attract the kinds of insects that eat books, food is not allowed in the library. Beverages are permitted in spill-proof covered containers.

3. Do you provide facilities for group study?

A: Group study/discussion rooms are available on the second floor of the library for use by the GSB students. Most of the rooms are available on a first-come, first-served basis and can be used by checking out a key at the Library's Reserve Desk. Some rooms are set aside for use by reservation only for GSB group study.

4. Does the Library provide photocopying or document delivery service?

A: Jackson Library does not provide a photocopy service. Self-service copy machines are available in the Library. The Document Delivery Service provides document retrieval and delivery for GSB faculty and staff only.
