Privileges at the Business School
Registration
If you do not already have access to Jackson as a Stanford student, you can obtain privileges at Jackson Library, the library of the Business School. Whether a Stanford student or not, you will want to go to the Access Services desk at the entrance to Jackson and obtain an RA registration card. Your Business School sponsoring professor should sign the card;
return the signed card to the desk.
Photocopying
You may also inquire at Access Services regarding photocopying accounts for Business School faculty which may be available for your use as an RA. details
Computing account
A Business School computing account providing faculty-level access to Library databases and e-mail is available, if needed; when you register at Jackson you will be automatically contacted about such an account. For access to restricted resources like UNIX, you may also need to contact Ravi Pillai of Information Technology.
Privileges at Other Campus Libraries
RA privileges at many other Stanford campus libraries can be obtained by applying for a proxy card at the Green (Main Library) Privileges Desk. Please note that there are stringent requirements; you must first be on the University payroll.
Document Delivery
You are eligible for the Jackson Library Document Delivery service while working for your Business School professor. This service provides free retrieval of articles, papers and available books from sources both on-campus and off. To register for this service, contact Document_Delivery@gsb.stanford.edu
NOTE: All requested material is delivered directly to your professor's assigned faculty assistant's office.
