About the Team

A project of this size requires many parties to see its successful completion.

Stanford Graduate School of Business

The GSB's New Dean (September 2009), Garth Saloner, provides direction and support to the team. Former Dean, Robert L. Joss provided leadership for the team through August 2009. Senior Associate Dean Dan Rudolph and Associate Dean Karen Wilson offer oversight to the day-to-day team. Kathleen Kavanaugh serves as the Program Director for the Knight Management Center, the GSB's principle point of contact for the project.

Stanford's Department of Land, Buildings and Real Estate (LBRE)

Bob Reidy, Vice President for LBRE, Jack Cleary, Associate Vice President for LBRE, Dave Lenox, Stanford University Architect, and Project Manager BJ Sewak are essential contributors in realizing this sizable project.

Architects

BOORA Architects of Portland, Oregon, is providing all architectural design and management services for the project. Having recently and successfully completed the design of the master plan for the new Stanford Engineering Quad and the first phase of that quad, the Yang and Yamazaki Energy and Environment building, BOORA brought to the GSB the experience of designing sustainable buildings with the look and feel of the Stanford campus.

Engineers

Arup Engineers are providing structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection services. They have recently completed the design for Stanford’s new Environment and Energy building on the Science and Engineering Quad II.

Landscape Architects

Peter Walker and Partners is designing the landscape architecture of the Knight Management Center. The firm is located in Berkeley and also designed the landscape architecture of the Schwab Residential Center.

General Contractor

Turner Construction is providing pre-construction services and is one of the leading construction firms for higher education in the US, as well as a leader in building green facilities.
