Study Rooms
Group study/ discussion rooms are available on the second floor of the library for use by the Business School student community. Most of the rooms are available on a first-come, first-served basis and can be used by checking out a key at the Library's Reserve Desk. Some rooms are set aside for use by reservation only for Business School group study.
Capacity
Most rooms accommodate 4 to 6 people. 300I and 300J accommodate 8 people.
Equipment
All rooms are equipped with whiteboards and computers. Telephones are available in 300H, 300I or 300J. Business School students may charge out conference phones, projectors and eBeams (portable digital whiteboard systems) from the Reserve Desk for use in the study rooms.
Using a Study Room
- To use a Study Room, charge out a key from the Reserve Desk.

- The loan period is 3 hours.
- Late keys will be fined according to our reserve fine policy.
- When no rooms are available, you may place a hold for the first available room.
- Keys can be renewed for additional time if no one is waiting for a room.
- At certain times, some of these rooms are reserved for Career Management Center interviews and course related activities.
Reserving a Group Study Room
- For Business School group study use only by Business School students.
- Group Study rooms may be reserved in advance using the MARRS (Meeting And Room Request System), the primary tool for all GSB room/space scheduling.
- Group Study Rooms that can be reserved are: 300H, 300I or 300J.
- Group Study rooms may be reserved for 3 hours at a time.
- Rooms are locked. Check out the key at the Reserve Desk to access the room at your reserved time.
- CMC interviews and Business School class-use take precedence. You will be notified when there is a conflict with your reserved time.
To Browse Group Study Room Availability
- Go to http://marrs-gsb.stanford.edu.
- Login with your SuNet ID.
- Click Browse and select Browse for Space.
- Inside Location Information choose:
- Area: GSB Main Campus
- Building: South
- Room Type: Group Study Room
- Click Search.
To schedule and use a Group Study room:
- Follow the steps above to access MARRS.
- Click Reservation and select Room Request.
- Enter the following:
- For Location Information:
- Area: GSB Main Campus
- Building: South
- Room Type: Group Study Room
- For Setup Information:
- Attendance: Must be 2 or more
- Setup Type: Conference
- For Location Information:
- Click Search.
- Select a room from the list of available rooms.
- Confirm details and click Continue.
- Fill in required Event Details information.
- Find a group in Groups/Depts/Clubs : Use Study Room Reservations.
- Choose a Primary Contact and a Secondary Contact. Both are required.
- Click Submit.
NOTE: Both GSB students (Primary and Secondary Contact) must present their Stanford IDs at the time of the reservation to check out the key to the room.
Reservations will be cancelled if at least two names are not given at the time of the reservation. Rooms may also be cancelled if they are for longer than the three hour loan period.
