James Buckhouse
James Buckhouse leads the Corporate Design team at Twitter, where he oversees the creation, production, strategy and design of all video and visual material for the company.
Prior to Twitter, he was Executive Creative Director at Duarte where he worked with Facebook, Google, HP and other high-profile tech companies. From 1996-2008, James built his story skills as a cinematographer and choreographer on the projects Antz, Shrek, Shrek 2, Shrek the Third, Shrek 4D, Shrek the Halls, Madagascar, Madagascar 2 while at DreamWorks Animation. James also served as a production designer for New York City Ballet, Oregon Ballet Theatre, and Pennsylvania Ballet.
His art work is represented by the Walter Maciel Gallery in Los Angeles, and has been shown in museums and galleries including the Guggenheim Works & Process Series, the Whitney Museum of American Art, The Institute of Contemporary Art in London, the Dia Center. His book, All Fashion is Fiction, was published in 2010, and has a social media extension that can be found at sergriva.com. James regularly lectures on art, design, culture and technology.
He received a B.A in Visual Art from Brown University and was the INTEL AIM Visiting Researcher at Stanford University from 1999-2002.
