David Folkman, a former general partner with U.S. Venture Partners, has experience with investing in start-up retail enterprises Ross Stores, Gymboree, PetSmart, Imaginarium, and Callaway Golf. He is known as a senior retail, wholesale, and consumer products executive with 35 years of general management experience in department stores, specialty stores, consumer products and services, and branded wholesale fashion apparel and accessories. David has held CEO positions with Esprit U.S. and The Emporium, a 22-location department store chain (now owned by R.H. Macy & Co., Inc.) and the position of Senior VP for Merchandising, Macy's West. David is also recognized for his turnaround experience. He is a graduate of Harvard College and Harvard Business School.
