Kathy Hazelton

Kathy Hazelton is happy to be returning to the CAT coaching team after a year off to enjoy her daughter's wedding last October. A writer, editor, coach, facilitator, and trainer, Kathy founded Hazelton Communications in 2000 after 22 years as a communication specialist in McKinsey & Company's Cleveland office. Her clients include corporations, professional services firms, churches, and other nonprofits.

Kathy also has ties to the academic world beyond Stanford. She has taught business communications at John Carroll University and coached doctoral students at Marquette University, Case Western Reserve University, and Aquinas Institute of Theology. She began her professional life as a high school French teacher after earning a B.A. in French and English from Ursuline College and an M.A. in French from Fordham University.

Based in Cleveland, Ohio, Kathy spent this summer serving on the chapel staff at the YMCA of the Rockies in Estes Park, Colorado. She and her husband hope their three children and two grandchildren will join them in the mountains next summer!
