Mary Lang

Mary Lang is a communication educator and consultant, who empowers innovators to become effective communicators.

As an educator, Mary is a Lecturer in Organizational Behavior at Stanford’s Graduate School of Business (GSB).  She teaches the strategic communication elective.  Mary also serves as a Sr. Advisor and Assistant Director to the Mastery in Communication Initiative at the GSB, where she is the co-creator of the communication element of the Critical Analytical Thinking (CAT) course and Master Coach and Mentor. Mary has also taught communication at both public university systems in California.

As a consultant, Mary advises premier organizations across sectors on communication, organizational development, change strategy, and organizational culture.  She leads multi-year transformation initiatives, mentors leaders on authentic power and communication effectiveness, and delivers specialized seminars.  Mary also conducts faculty development at leading business schools.  Comadrona Communications, Inc. manages Mary's consulting activities.

Mary Lang holds an M.A. from the Annenberg School for Communication (University of Southern California), and a B.A. from the University of California, San Diego
