Rick Von Feldt
Rick Von Feldt is a workplace futurist and leadership coach. He is the founder of Kolaborative, a consulting company that prepares companies and leaders for the future. He helped with research in "The 2020 Workplace" written by Dr. Karie Willyerd and Jeanne Meister. He coaches executives around the world, including extensive work in China.
Over the last three years, Rick has been a communication coach for the Mastery In Communication program. He has coached on the GSB Executive Challenge project, Business Presentation Bootcamp, Meeting Management course, Stanford Leadership Academy, GSB Fellows Communication project, Defend Seminar and Labs and the Strategic Communications Class.
Previously, Rick was the Vice President of Training and Development for the Enterprise business group at Hewlett-Packard. He was responsible for world-wide learning and development of the 108,000 employees in HP's Technology Solutions Group plus 100,000 additional contractors and partners. This group is comprised of an Enterprise Sales team, Enterprise Servers and Storage, HP Services — including consulting, outsourced services and technology support, and HP Software. He led a global team of 162 learning and development professionals — all of whom focus on insuring there is the ideal amount of individual and team capability necessary for each business to meet its goals.
Rick has worked in human resources for 17 years, including HR and Training roles at Gillette, Dell and Hewlett-Packard. He was involved in global leadership and sales training at Gillette. While at Dell, he worked in talent management, general HR, as director of staffing for APJ and in learning and development.
During his career, he has lived and worked in Singapore and Japan for 8 years as well as in Europe. He is currently based in the San Francisco bay area.
