Stanford MBA Program

Financial Aid

Business school is a significant investment in yourself and your future. Our graduates agree that their MBA education is a great investment in their personal and professional development. We're committed to working with you to meet all of your demonstrated financial needs through fellowships and loans.

Tuition and Financial Aid

  • Your personal resources for financing your education are not considered in our admission decisions. Once you are admitted, the Financial Aid Office will determine your financial need and create an aid package that may include loans, fellowships, or a combination, based on a variety of factors.
  • Approximately three-fourths of our MBA students receive some sort of financial aid. The Financial Aid Office works with private lenders who can provide both need-based and non-need-based loans to cover educational expenses.
  • GSB fellowships are available to U.S. and international students.
  • Loans are available to U.S. and international students. Loans offered to international students typically do not need a U.S. co-signer.

Siebel Scholars Program

  • At the end of the first year, five students are selected for the Siebel Scholars Program, which recognizes top academic achievement, leadership, and citizenship within the Business School community and includes a $25,000 tuition award.

GSB Loan Forgiveness Programs

To encourage our MBA graduates to make meaningful contributions to social issues, economic growth, and political stability in organizations where salaries are typically lower, the School has developed loan forgiveness programs to reduce the financial impact of GSB educational debt.

  • The GSB Nonprofit/Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program supports MBA graduates entering the nonprofit and public-service sectors.
  • The GSB International Loan Forgiveness Program, in its pilot stage, supports non-U.S. citizen MBA graduates working in organizations that are located in developing countries.

GSB Internship Program

  • The Stanford Management Internship Fund (SMIF) provides fellowships to MBA students who work in qualifying nonprofits or the government during the summer between your first and second years.
